A Time to Mourn, A Time to Dance
TOURING IN AUTUMN 2024!
Live dance exploring the tension between loss and joy
A Time to Mourn, a Time to Dance is an hour-long double bill presented by Springs Dance Company.
An intimate, uplifting dance show choreographed by Lizzi Kew Ross and Heather Richmond.
Created after the pandemic, the performance offers audiences an opportunity to reflect on grief, human connection and joy, and is ultimately a celebration of life.
As seen on the BBC! Watch Now (at 54:30).
Last night was easily the best experience, the best performance, the best night. Stunning. Blown away. So grateful.
It does not offer easy answers or a simplistic message, but relates to universal emotional experiences. That makes it incredibly powerful and accessible to people from any background.

Booking Information
Now booking for 2024.
Ideal for galleries, chapels, museums, churches and arts venues. The performance works best in reflective spaces.
The performance is presented in the round, with audience on three or four sides.
Venue requirements:
- For the performance we will require a clear flat space of around 7m x 7m, on which we lay our dance floor and set up our lighting.
- Springs provides all its own lighting, sound equipment and set and would just need 5 hours in the space to set up for the show before the performance start time.
- The performance will ideally take place in the round, with the audience on three sides where possible.
