SEN School Dance

For specialist schools, we have lots to offer, including performances and workshops that aim to support and delight children of all abilities.

Our team includes teachers with a high level of Dance and SEN expertise, and all our workshop teachers are trained to deliver dance inclusively.

We recommend our performances, such as Journey of the Magi, which we adapt for SEN schools, and are highly enjoyable for the whole school to experience.

All children no matter dancing experience or SEND needs were able to join in and enjoy the experience.

Ellen Litherland, Deputy Headteacher, St Chad's School, Lichfield

One non-verbal child with autism in Year 4 stayed in for the whole workshop, which they were incredibly surprised by. He joined in, listening and responding to the instructions without the level of 1:1 support that he needs to engage with other situations.

How our workshops work

A workshop day involves two of our highly experienced teachers visiting your school to work with your pupils during a school day. We have teachers based across the country so can deliver workshops nationwide. We can either work with up to 4 or 5 classes for one-off workshops or we can work more intensively with 1 or 2 classes.

Our bespoke workshops can be delivered in one-off days or we can stay for a longer residency and create a unique performance with your pupils. For shorter projects the day can finish with an informal sharing to the rest of the school or parents. The fee for a full day of workshops is £450 plus travel expenses.
