A year-long dance training course
An intensive dance course that focuses on the creation, performance and teaching of contemporary dance work inspired by and expressive of the Christian faith.
Wonderful and unforgettable
This course is so much more than I could have ever wished for or even begun to imagine!
Improve your dance technique in a nurturing Christian environment through daily technique classes, including contemporary, ballet and street dance. Develop your performance and choreography skills through creating and re-constructing repertoire. Strengthen your understanding through supporting studies such as theology and dance science.
Become experienced, creative and nurturing teachers. Gain greater confidence and professionalism in your teaching methods through co-leading workshops in schools, churches and community groups.
Perform vibrant, faith-filled dance in a nationwide tour to churches, schools, festivals and community venues. Tell stories, express worship, explore current issues and inspire hope in people of all ages.
We also run Elevate Dance Foundation, a shorter course for those of all levels wanting to improve their dance and teaching skills. Students train for three months alongside Elevate Dance Company. You will be pushed to develop physically and encouraged spiritually by our experienced and supportive staff.

In order to apply, you need to fill in our online application form. We will then be in touch to invite you to an audition at our studio in South East London. The audition will take the form of a contemporary technique class, a short improvisation task, a solo and an interview.
On successful completion of the course, you will receive a detailed report and a certificate. You will have accomplished an intensive dance training and the experience of having performed and taught to a broad spectrum of the community. You may also have gained experience of the technical aspects of touring a performance including a basic understanding of the sound and lighting used. We are not currently accredited with a university. Our course is quite unique and doesn’t easily fit into boxes!
